Holy shit it's been a crazy summer. 2007 is revving up to be
pretty sick ass. Right now we're recording a CD and finishing
up playing as we will be starting a whole new set, new tunes, new
everything. So our focus right now is on getting the recording
done. Of course, playing LIVE is always a must.
Other than that, what else can we say? Drink lots of beer and
be safe!!
Feb 19, 2007
And yet another long ass time
since we've updated this page. The reason you ask? Well,
nothing really. Just playing allot, recording, working, blaugh,
blaugh. What can we say? We are busy Mother F'rs
Big show coming to the Kennel
Club. We're in it, so of course it's big. :-)
Other than that, drink lots of beer and METAL!!!

joining us on the bill and putting on a KICK ASS SHOW.
New show coming up on Jan 13th.

Oct 21, 2006
OK, OK, OK............We get like 10
emails a week " When you guys
playing again" or "
DUDE, WTF....Are you ever gonna play
again?" The answer to
all of your emails is YES. We are playing again and we're
playing at The Road House on Nov 4th. So all you Metal Heads
better show up. HAHHAHHAHA
We really do appreciate all the
support from our fans. This is the fisrt of many shows to
come. But more importantly, this is the very first show with
our new Guitarist Andy Gomez. Dude is solid, tasty ass solo's
and he where's funky ass shoes. AHHAHAH
Come one Come all. See
you guys on the 4th!!!

Sept 11, 2006
Well, we picked a hell of a
date to announce our new Guitar player. Today is the 5th year
since 911 in NYC. Our hearts and prayers go out to everyone
involved in that terrible act of violence. On a good note,
today is the day we announce
Andy Gomez as
the new Soul D AXE MAN!! And that he is!!! A few months
ago our long time Guitarist and dear friend Greg Fox had decided to
leave the Soul Distortion project. Although an explanation to
why he left is still floating around, we wish him the best of luck
with his new ventures.
SOOOOOOOOOOOOO That
brings up this Andy Gomez guy. Who on earth can fill such BIG
shoes not only as a player but as a friend, a brother and fellow
shit disturber??? Wait til you guys here this dude
play. Andy brings a great deal of talent and song writing to
the Soul D table. He has added that flavor enhancer to Soul
D's writing and playing. Andy has found his home here with the
Soul D guys.
We couldn't be happier or more
lucky to find Andy. We welcome him and can't wait for all of
our fans to hear and see him live. We have a show coming up in
Oct with the legendary Metallica Tribute band WHIPLASH and several
other shows as well. So keep checking back.
Other than that have a METAL
day!!!
SOUL D
July 29th
Hey everyone. Wow, been a
while since the update. We've had some typical band drama over
the last 2 months so please accept our apologies while we got that
straightened out.
So what the hell we've been
doing? Great question. All kinds of shit, too much to
list, but, the short version is a new, enhanced sound to our already
kick ass show. Lots of new music and we finally brought back
the FORUMS for
all of you to stop by and say hi. We took down our other
forums based solely on the instability of it, but we are now using
Vbulletin and it is much more stable and robust.
Go check'm out.
Got a couple of MAJOR
announcements coming up in the next 3 weeks. I don't want to
say anything yet, just in case they fall through, but, if we have
our way, these will be HUUUUGE.
Keep check'n back!!
May 4th, 2006
What up Soul D Fans!!!! We
would like to say thanks to everyone who supported us over the past
6 months. Coming out to our shows, listening to us on the
radio and anything else we missed. We really do appreciate it.
We will be taking a 3 month break from gig'n to write more music.
We're currently in the studio preparing for the summer concert tour.
We fully plan on headlining more shows this summer and you can
expect to see us out at the
Sleeptrain
Amphitheater. That special Announcement is coming soon.
We would also like to thank all
the clubs in Sacramento for allowing us to shred there place.
The Sacramento Music Scene is ALIVE & STRONG and without them we'd
all be playing..........well, who knows where we'd be playing, point
is we just wanted to say thanks.
And lastly, we want to thank
Mark Gilmore at 98 Rock for all of his support. Mark is a
staple in the local music scene. Always promoting and
supporting local music. So for that we say THANKS MARK!!

Whew... Been a while since
we've had an update. As most of you know we played the
Roadhouse New Years Eve Night and it was a blast. Thanks to
all who came out to support us. We realize the storms put a
damper on the night but we counted about 60 to 70 people that came
out to the show.
For the entire month of
January, we will be finishing up our 5 song EP getting ready
for a local promotion with 98 Rock. More details on that in
the next week. Shows will resume in February. Right now
the focus is finishing up tracks for this EP. 3 kickass
tunes. Man, wait til you guys hear these next tunes.
You're gonna flip.
Most of you that have made it
out to a SOUL D performance have heard them. STILL, BROKEN &
ALREADY GONE YES, they are finally getting recorded
after soooo many requests. You'll be able to hear them on 98
Rock so stay tuned.
That's it for now. Until
then..................................METAL!

BIIIIIIIIG thanks to all who came out to the show Friday Night at The Library. We all had a fricken blast. Big thanks to Solardrone for joining us on the bill. The show pretty much went well and without any major glitches. Pat and I got to sing that last screams of a Solardrone tune, that kicked ass!! Over all I counted about 50 people at this show. Not a bad rally for only 3 days notice. We'll be playing their again sometime in April or so. Just a reminder, we have a HUUUGGGE show coming up on New Years Eve night at The Roadhouse. Click the Flyer below to check it out.

The first Soul Distortion gig
Tuesday night was a blast. A million thanks to all the fans
and friends that came out to support us on a Tuesday night & our
first gig. Looks like we had about 35 people at this show.

We also wanted to thank some
people for making this show extra special. Of course, all of
our family and friends. Without you, the show would not have
been the same. Thanks to Bruce Cox for coming out and running
that POS board and trying to keep Pat's soaring vox alive.
Thanks to Triple Dose for opening up for us. You guys rock and
we appreciate your support on a Tuesday night with short notice.
Thanks to Shady Brady's for let'n us play at their club.
Also,
a very special thanks goes out to
Jonathan Fenno from
HAIL SATAN and his two friends who drove up from the S.F. Bay
Area to see our first show. That was a hell-of-a-trek and we
really appreciate it.
Stay tuned for our next gig.
We have a tentative show booked in the next 3 weeks, so if you
missed the first one, catch this next one. You'll be treated
to a new blend of METAL.

Hope everyone had a
safe fourth of July weekend. I know the boys had a blast.
We had the first annual Soul Distortion family BBQ on Saturday.
It was a complete success. Beer, BBQ, Pool....Man, life is
good! I don't know about you guys, but this weekend not only
had it's share of good times, but it's also had it's share of
good
reviews on Garageband.com
The second round
of reviews has been tougher than the first. We shot all
the way back up to
#103
and at the beginning of the week and have since been leveled off at
#67
this morning. We also have some GREAT news. People are
really liking Peyote. So much so that it earned
-
#3 Best Mood in Hard Rock, all-time
-
"Track of the Day" on
July 07, 2005 in Hard Rock
Pretty cool huh?
So, that means this Thursday, Soul Distortion will be on the
Garageband.com homepage for the WHOLE DAY as " HARD-ROCK, Track of
the Day".

If you guys are interested in having a
personalized 2 song DEMO of Peyote and Solitary mailed to you, just
shoot me an email and I'll have one sent out right away.

We recently submitted "Peyote" to
Garageband.com and it's no surprise it is doing extremely well.
The song started out at around #700 out of 717 in the "HARDROCK"
section....In less than a week and what is called 'Round 1", Peyote
has climbed all the way to
#79
and picking up Reviews Pick Award for
" Best Mood in Hardrock " along the way.
Currently the song is in "Round
2" and the guys are very interested to see how far up the charts it
will go. Garageband.com is a community predominantly made up of
musicians, so, song reviews are pretty critical and "knit-picky".
Needless to say, so matter where it ends up, we're glad so many
people are digg'n it.
If you wanna check out some of
the reviews, just click on the Garageband Logo below. L8!

things to know about.
1.
We released a new tune for your
hearing pleasure. Head over to the
"Sounds " page and download our new
track " Solitary".
You're gonna flipp'n love it. Fresh out of the mixing room and
into your ears.
2.
It's Official! We have
submitted for 98Rock
Local Licks, Volume 12.
We hope the rock gods over at
98Rock

Sacramento Rocks Volume 12 is here
and upon us. Soul D will be submitting for this years chance
to get on the CD. We've just finished mixing Solitary,
which will be posted on the website by this weekend. It's our
official re-release of this song and it sounds better than ever.
We're planning on having our first
gig in the July time frame. So we're looking for other bands
to gig with. If you know of other bands that might be a good
match to play with, please email me ASAP. My email is:
